Pettirino

I graduated from the University of Turin, Degree in Philosophy , address socio-anthropological, with a thesis in Cultural Anthropology .

I did ethnographic research in Mexico ; in 1998 in two communities of the Maya Yucatan (from which I later developed the thesis) and, during 2002, the Sierra Mazatec , in the state of Oaxaca , where at the same time I worked as a high school education in indigenous Ngu Niya Yanu Zacu Kjuabitsien .

Since 2003 I started working on the study of migration in the Biella alternating research (carried out by different agencies) to a specific post-graduate training: 2005
Sociology of Migration, Genoa (Dir.: Prof. Ambrosini M.)
2008 graduate course in post graduate Medical Anthropology at the University of Milano Bicocca (Dir. academic prof. Malighetti R.) _
Over the last year I entertained collaborations professional in the various activities of the Consortium for Inter- social services "Iris" in Biella with lectures of anthropological activities in continuing education courses for health workers, social workers and educators (ref. Dr. Segato) advice on issues related to immigration in favor of Spaf (Listening Area Teens and Families) and Patio (Center for Families) in addition to specific lessons in the seminar held at the university degree course in Social Service headquarters in Biella (ref. Prof. Mermoz) aimed at achieving a better understanding of local human migration.

In the field of ' Anthropology Museum, having undertaken a research on the image and role of the Museo del Territorio Biellese part of a larger project of Museum Education (2005), I have attended courses organized by the Center for African Studies Turin as a result of which I had the opportunity to collaborate, as mediator of cultural heritage, the Museo del Territorio Biellese (2008) and subsequently with the Museum of Anthropology at the University of Turin (2009) narrated by presenting pathways for objects belonging to collections Mesoamerican .

For Territory Museum Biellese I edited, as of the scientific, the exhibition collaborative Interdependence (2010), are currently working on a new project called museography owned Canepa Looks about the collection, scheduled for 2011.

occasional collaboration with Love Difference (Cittadellarte Pistoletto Foundation) in activities and projects addressing the intercultural issues.
